I honestly can’t believe how quickly this year is flying by! I mean, it’s already May — say whaaaat!? I’m so thankful that I’ve been consistent with writing these little monthly posts. It feels so important to step back and reflect on the big picture each month. I’ve mentioned this before, but I seriously can’t wait to look back at all of these at the end of the year. It’ll be like a personal highlight reel!
Picking my favorites each month has been getting harder because it feels like every day is jam-packed. In the moment, those busy days can feel stressful, but when I look back, they make life feel full and meaningful. And honestly, that’s what it’s all about — living fully!
FOR MAMA
Something I did late this month — and wish I had done sooner — was gloss my hair at home. A while back, I got some red highlights that looked awesome when they were fresh… but not for long. I tried using color-depositing conditioners to bring the red back, but eventually I gave up and my hair looked faded and dull.
This month, I finally got tired of it and impulse-bought the Kristen Ess Hair Gloss Dye. It cost $15, took 30 minutes, and it looked great! I wish I had left it in a little longer to darken the highlights even more, but they turned a nice medium brown and the rest of my hair looked so shiny and refreshed. It definitely beat going to the salon!
I’ve been trying to do more beauty treatments at home to save time and money — and so far, it’s been so worth it!
FOR BABY
This month, my son’s absolute favorite thing was slides! He loves climbing up and sliding down — even though sometimes it turns into more of a roll 😅. It’s so fun to see him get better at climbing and watching his confidence grow.
The sweetest part? He calls slides “go-go.” 🥹 I think it’s because every time he stood at the top, we’d cheer him on saying, “Go, go!” Now every time he sees a slide, he asks to “go-go” — and it completely melts my heart.

FAVORITE ACTIVITY
Blogging has been my favorite thing to do this month. I’ve loved drafting posts, cooking and shooting recipes, and diving into everything that goes into creating content. It’s been amazing to watch my process improve from when I first started!
Blogging has truly become a creative outlet for me as a mom. There’s always something new to learn or work on, which keeps it exciting — definitely no boredom here! 😉
FAVORITE RECIPE
My Cuban Pizza recipe has been a huge hit in our house this month. We love making it for dinner because it’s quick, easy, and absolutely delicious.
The dough only takes about five minutes of kneading, and then while it rests for an hour, we have time to play with our son and put him down for bed. It’s the perfect lazy weeknight dinner — especially when you’re craving pizza but don’t feel like leaving the house.
If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out!

Even though April flew by, I loved taking moments to slow down, soak it all in, and enjoy simple, slow nights at home with my husband and son. These small, cozy moments have truly been the highlight of my month. 🥰
